Space Split is coming men (+women :)!

OK, let's go again... Last time I posted a preview picture from my forthcoming slide show... But I stopped to work on it for now... Not for ever, of course, but for some time 'cause I started already another project... As I wrote in my previous post, I am a man of his word (and actually, I finished the army-guy screen...). The thing is that Snake and I are working in a very prototype project, in my opinion. To give you a sniff, I really like the retro games and "Space Invaders" was a really bang-bang game...So, one night Tomas came with an idea to make a slide show of "Space Invaders". But do not expect nothing less than huge pixels made with split rasters :). After all, I am talking about CPC my friends...

Anyways, I asked Tomas to make a fucking intro in order not to be just a simple slideshow but to have a bit of demomaking spirit inside... He found the idea nice and I started to paint a small screen related to the game... So, this post was written just to show you a screen (Psile gia sena mwri malakia na poume :)

Don't start to criticize me bad from the beginning... Imagine that every CPC designer has to "fight" with some really huge pixels and he has to choose from a variety of 27 colors. Here I use mode 0, which means that 16 colors only can be displayed in the screen. And most important, a CPC designer has to work pixel per pixel. We are speaking about 8-bit machines people... :)
Anyways, there are still a lot of stuff to be made... After all, this screen was designed during a weekend, so it's not that perfect... It's just an alien inside an U.F.O. :) But I believe I have designed my idea so well :P. You see, I wanted to make a kinda funny screen, to look like a cartoon type screen. To conclude, I have started to work in some things that will also be added, like stars and a logo, but they have to be designed much better... But I will keep working... I love producing for CPC even if the computer has died commercially from 1992. It lives inside my heart and I am happy that I am NOT the only one! :) CPC scene is great! :)
So, I must leave you... I have also to go to my job tomorrow...
But before I must say that I am so fucking excited about this co-production with my friend Tomas :) I am sure that the final result will be great!

Man of his word...

Hello once again... As I wrote you at my previous post, voXfReaX is revived... So, I will give you my first NOT totally completed screen (I'm quite sure that I am going to put a background in it and maybe make the colors much more clear...) that is going to be published in my forthcoming production... You see, I am a man of his words... I told you so :). Some details regarding the screen now... The picture was originally made by a guy named Mike back in '06. I found it at the net and I bled my eyes in order to became a nice copy... After all, I just was watching a nice screen and the decision was to make the same on CPC. It is made in mode 1 (that means only 4 colors available at the same time) but I must add that screen's color palette is from a plus machine (meaning 4 colors out of 4096 colors available). A big thanx to the emulators available as I do not own a plus machine, but I will in the near future hopefully:). Anyways, hope you'll enjoy it....

Small things... Big loves... Hard jobs...

OK. This is another post at my blog in such a short-period. Yes, I am out of the army, I have a DSL connection at my house, I have some time free ('cause now I also have a job to earn some euros), I enjoy life much more than the previous year, I hang around much more with my girlfriend... My life is getting better and better... But you know, some old loves can not be forgotten... No matter how many years might pass, no matter how technology is involving, I have to admit one tiny thing... I own a PC just to keep up to date with society-life, to keep contact with some friends that are far away from Athens or Stylida (my hometown) or even from abroad. But, the thing is that my first computer was an Amstrad CPC 6128 with a colour monitor and I have been following the scene for more than 16-17 years... It's a quite big period, if you consider that I am 25! In case you never were able to see a CPC I will show you a pic...

Yeah man!!! This is pure technology!!! No fucking virus to threat your hardware, no cracks to be download in order to play a game, no problem if you turn it off suddenly, no problem with anything... Well, almost anything as my floppy drive always had a fucking problem...
Anyway, the thing is that from 2006 I am back to the great CPC scene. I am in a french group (called Revival). As I have been "dead" for some years (I left CPC scene back in 2000) I returned in order to revive a hobby that was somehow "sleeping" for so long...
I have drawn some stuff for some participations (like &2007 or Croco Chanel 4) that were never used by the way, I have already some other stuff almost done (like graphics and some musics) and the thing is that I am back in business... :)
You know, I do not have a feeling that CPC will conquer the world again as it did back in the 90s but some feelings maintain for this fucking computer...
Anyways, I am not going to write more... If anyone wants to find out more about CPC, I am willing to help him/her. That's for sure...
But I must also solve your query about the title of this post... I know, I am not such a good writer but anyways... The title shows that I am working (and working a lot!!!) for my future productions. I already have some screens ready for a new great CPC slideshow... I will publish some here also, at my blog, and who knows? Maybe someone will like to participate in the CPC scene...
So, I getting back to work... I want to make my idea as soon as possible real and visible to you and to every CPC freak out there....

ps. By the way, if someone owns a CPC6128 plus and he/she wants to earn some money from it, I am willing to buy it... Logical prices only... I am not that crazy!!!

No days to count... Man, I am fucking free!!!

It's not a lie my friends... I'm done with this shit after all. After 12 months of dirtiness, no sleep, no proper food, no life in general, I am revived!!! I earned the paper that indicates that I have no further obligations for the fabulous, the amazing Greek army! I can now do whatever I want without any restrictions, without anyone ordering me doing stupid things that have sense only for the permanent army personnel!!! (I did nothing and that's something that I really proud for my little self! I could resist and not be afraid!). So, with this post I would like to say a big "FUCK YOU ARMY!!!!".
I must admit that I will never forget a lot of nice times that I had with persons that were in the same situation... Maybe we will never meet again, maybe yes... Who knows? Anyways, I wish them all the best 'cause they deserve it... After all, they made my "journey" better and much more pleasant...

Four months left... (or 118 days still to go...)

OK! Long time that I've been absent from my blog... Apologies dudes... The thing is that I am making all my army-duty so far away from my home and the lack of internet makes it really impossible to keep updating my stuff.
So, some time passed. I've been living at the borders for so long... :) It's OK! I like the people there, even though I hate wearing the stupid army uniforms... I have the chance to meet places that I don't know if I will be able to visit in my life again... But, who knows???
After all, I am finishing... and I will never come back (at army) for sure....
Some photos and I'm done... I have to enjoy life now... I must go out... Still 10 days left :):)
